How do I save a .gif without leaving white on the edges? Whenever I save my "art" on a forum without a white background there is a rugged white edge around everything.

All I know is that in Photoshop, it makes you have a background, or else it's all choppy.
There are programs that don't need backgrounds and can be transparent for animations though.

Yea it looks really bad, its got a rough white edge on everything.

Save with a .PNG. That with ensure the background is transparent.

I believe it should work for GIFs if you go to the save page (CTRL ALT SHIFT + S ) and click "Transparency" checkbox
